EXHIBITS

The Braziliant art Exhibit, took place at the Lawrence Heritage State Park, in Lawrence, on the month of January, 2014.
The warmer and colorful artwork broke up the cold of one of  the coldest winters in many years. It was a noticeable contrast of the season and the tropical arousal of a bright Brazilian mind.

With 2 major exhibits through the Cambridge art Association, Zadereski has gained its way forward into one of the most important art affiliation in New England.

On June 11 the Culture Flows did feature a public art installation of over 24 murals created by over 500 Lowell students. Each mural was inspired by the various ethnic backgrounds and heritages that comprise Lowell. The murals were depict the Riverfest fish logo designed by, Lineu Zadereski, who also presented his temporary sculpture for the festival. Zadereski was invited by the Cultural Organization of Lowell (COOL) to lead the massive Riverfest art project, which included creating the logo and graphic design for all of the marketing materials. Lineu was honored by the experience of being a Brazilian artist representing the nations of these multicultural and artistic city.

THE LOWELL SUN

Lineu Zadereski was a guest speaker at SHARE PROSPERITY: a Conference on Social and Economic Contributions of Refugees and Immigrants to the Community, which was held at Middlesex Community College on May 20, 2011.

Brazilian born, Lineu testified of the opportunities that he has had to contribute to his community through artistic expression. The connection between his Brazilian heritage and his life now have given weight to his societal contribution in Massachusetts. He counted the Liberal Arts degree that he completed in America among his achievements, stating that the degree had already paid him back with great rewards.

Lineu related some of his most relevant moments as an immigrant in the U.S., including those that led to truly unique and unexpected opportunities. He stated, "more important that what we can do, is what (who) we really can be". He concluded his speech rendering of one thousand words by presenting one image. It was "Cultural Flows", the visual concept that he was honored to design for the Lowell Riverfest in Lowell, Massachusetts.

On July 29-31, 2011, the Lowell Folk Festival, celebrated its 25th anniversary. Once again, it was confirmed to be the nation’s largest free folk festival by drawing about 200,000 people to its 3 day event.

Lineu joined one of the festival’s artistic venues by presenting a street art exhibit for the first time while some of his artworks were simultaneously displayed at the 119 Art Gallery in Lowell. But the special thing about this double exhibition was that both venues expressed harmony and contrasts with the bold and simple flowing over the reflections and the extractions of a dialogue between the artist and the audience.

This mixed bag of experiences clarifies to Zadereski that ideas and opportunities may arrive in different places and mean different things at different times. It also creates new intersections to connect with the art world by exchanging signatures from indoors to everywhere at the open air.

The SMILES art exhibit at the Newbury College on September 16th, 2010 became more than just a gallery event for Lineu Zadereski, as it portrayed visual gratifications of Lineu’s colorful works. The vibrant art reception drew a large number of people who were introduced to the stimulating affect of art on the senses. There was excitement about expressive art due to the dynamic and inspiring visions of Arthur Birkling (curator-professor). The opportunity to work with Newbury College was bright light in the Lineu Zadereski’s personal and professional journey.

Zadereski aspires to embody his remarkably graphic personality in his work, evident in his LOGO (image above). The geometry and balance of his style are characterized by stability, order and proportion.  His art conveys confidence and optimism.

The Film depicts Curitiba in its glory as the first city in the world to recycle urban disposables, to build a public transportation system, to offer innovative affordable housing, and city’s largest green area per habitant, with the population approximately 1.75 million people (8th largest nationwide). On April 7, 2010 - The Brazilian city Curitiba won the Globe Sustainable City Award 2010, awarded for excellent sustainable urban development.

As a speaker Lineu emotes education, highlighting the development and consistency of the masterful visions of the City’s designers. Lineu says: “A sustainable city emerges of a simple yet broadly social program, that sets a unique stage for a tangible future”.

THE WOMEN'S DAY EVENT

On May 22, 2010 Lineu Zadereski in collaboration with MAPS, promoted a women’s day at the Lowell Maps office, teaching Marbleizing Techniques. The event promoted a series of subjects of interest to women such as health, family, domestic issues and self-esteem. It was a positive and educational event. The technique taught by Lineu applied different acrylic colors over a special water solution which created a mixture of colorful, smooth, abstract designs over large sheets of paper. The beauty was seen as the paper absorbed the color design from the wet surface. The colors were select by each of the female participants, and then the colors were correlated to various expressive words such as confidence, beauty, hope, wisdom, love, energy, intuition and more.  These words were reflected in the personalities of the women, i.e.

GREEN is the color of nature, fertility and life. Green symbolizes self-respect and well-being, it is the color of balance, also referring to learning, growth and harmony. The color green refers to healing and the life force for well-balanced people.

The event called Cultural Kaleidoscope took place at CCF Lowell on May 7, 8, and 9, 2010. The vision was to present a multicultural fellowship, celebrating the variety and the richness of the different countries represented in the Lowell, Massachusetts area. This was done through the introduction of skilled musicians, the preparation of ethnic food, various dramatizations and a art show of diverse pieces.  The three-day event was stimulating to the attendees who witnessed and tasted of this multicultural event with all of their senses.

Lineu was the primary coordinator for this event and he is also an interpreter (English/Portuguese) for the Brazilian speakers during CCF’s Sundays Services.
